Here are some selected photos from Avery's coming fall photography show.

Gareth Halloween

Gareth was a blind referee. The high quality ref shirt was a gift from Gareth's grandfather.

He hated the idea for the costume but ran out of time trying to find something else to wear.

It ended up being a big hit with lots of houses he went to getting laughs with the adults giving out candy.

I told him to hold his candy bag out in the wrong direction and suggested that he blow his whistle at random times screaming "Foul!"

Rosie is Anne Boleyn (King Henry VIII's wife) a

Rosie is Anne Boleyn (King Henry VIII's wife) and Avery is wearing Rosie's Madeleine costume. Luckily Avery's hair is a little red and she doesn't need Colleen's henna dye like Rosie did.

Rosie got her costume at a garage sale last weekend for $2! Her grandpa would be so proud.

Camping

We spent the weekend camping and playing at the beach searching for fossilized shark's teeth. Here is a drawing Rosie created while we all waited for steamed crabs.

Louie

This is the dog we are test driving. He is a mix between a cocker spaniel and a poodle. Great, calm, friendly dog so far. If we can only keep the enthusiam up for the walks we might keep him.

Rosemary Bliss: Time Traveler

Here is a self portrait of Rosie from 1774 and one from 2009. Note that Rosie in both time periods has freckles around her nose.

Rosie has a fascination with history and she generates drawings of girls in historically accurate outfits frequently.
